Hard cover cases used at Dscoop 7 by Mohawk Fine Papers and Convertible Solutions

Less than a year ago, Houchen Bindery Ltd. began an alliance with Convertible Solutions to offer Pre Made Hard Cover Cases in their 8 standard sizes for the Panoramic Papers featuring TRU-Flat® technology that are offered through Mohawk Fine Papers. We set up a special online portal for this at www.bindsouce.com featuring options for 20 color/material choices in their 8 standard sizes. Customers can order as few as one copy and can mix and match colors in quantities as low as 25 to avoid the need to invest in excess inventory.

At the recent DSCOOP 7 event in Washngton D.C. from March 22-24, Mohawk Fine Papers was demonstrating an automated machine which will make Panoramic Paper book blocks. I do know that this is something the folks at Convertible Solutions and Mohawk Fine Papers were eager to unveil, as it will make their TRU-Flat® technology now available as a cost effective solution in mass production. As the books were then completed, they were casing-in with a Hard cover case made by Houchen Bindery Ltd.!

More recently, Houchen Bindery Ltd. also gained endorsement from The Holmberg Company, developers of FlexBind® Technology. What we found was that their customers were not locked in to any particular standard sizes, so we have created an offering of 8 different size ranges, and an expanded offering of 28 material color choices. These choices and options are now available to any printer or photobook manufacturing company requiring hard cover cases. With the expanded sizes and options we do not currently have these incorporated into an online ordering system, but do have an ordering information kit we send to customers upon request.

14” x 11” (Landscape), 12” x 12”, 10” x 10”, 11” x 8.5” (Landscape), 8.5” x 11” (Portrait), 8” x 8”, 7” x 5” (Landscape) and 5” x 5”

While we were not able to attend DSCOOP 7, we did have a physical presence there with these 2 layflat photobook companies. So who is this for?

That’s the great part…..We have set this up to allow orders as low as ONE! We have price breaks at 5/10/25 /50 and on up to quantities as large as 500. So you don’t need to invest in alot of inventory to get started in offering these Photo Books!

Are there any restrictions?
