This 640 page facsimile reprint edition was produced for Brown County Historical Society of Ainsworth, NE.
As there were no previous (electronic) files or other data for the book, (which was first produced in the late 80′s), Houchen Bindery Ltd. was asked to scan an existing copy and recreate the book they had printed several years ago. After 2 sets of proofs had been sent out, the printing commenced and we organized printing and binding of 100 copies for the historical society.
The cover material was a Brown F Grade Buckram. Binding was PUR adhesive case bound and paper was Finch 70 lb acid free brightwhite.

We can un-bind an old book, scan it's contents, reprint and bind a new copy and save the electonic data in various formats
Newspapers, Maps, County Plat Books, and other oversized items can be scanned through either flatbed or sheetfed scanning capabilities. We have developed “Best Practices” for these services and can go over these technical details with you upon request.
Do you have a relative’s old diary or memoirs you’d like to produce as a special limited edition set for family members and friends? How about an old yearbook for a school reunion? Houchen Bindery can scan these documents, print and bind in small quantities based on your need.
We have flatbed and sheetfed scanning services available for a variety of applications.
Once the document(s) have been completely digitized, we can print as few as one copy or multiple copies of the document as a hard cover or soft cover edition. The originals will be repackaged and returned to the client in the same condition that it was received, or re-bound if possible as directed. A third option is an archival clam shell storage box or Phase Box for the orginals.
The digital version of the document will also be available and delivered to the client in its requested format. Either on CD, DVD, or as an FTP file download. Credentials for FTP file download will be provided upon completion of project.
