Edition Binding
Edition Binding
Edition Binding differs from other types of book binding such as Library Binding or commercial applications such as perfect binding for a catalog or brochure or annual report. Edition Binding will usually mean a hard bound book, using higher quality methods of binding (including some of the approved methods of the Library Binding Institute- LBI). Edition Binding
generally involves a short run length of books , as opposed to a mass market trade paper back or hardback edition. Aesthetically speaking, edition binding utilizes finer cloth choices and finishing techniques, but is generally also meant to last over multpile generations. Examples of Edition Binding Projects include: Memoirs, Family History Books, Autobiographies, books of Poetry, Illustrated Art and Photography Books, Map Books, and more.
